Golden Retrievers grow fur between their paw pads. A lot of it. Left untrimmed, this fur mats between the pads, collects mud and ice, and causes your dog to slip on hardwood and tile floors. Paw pad fur is one of the most overlooked grooming tasks for Golden owners, and one of the easiest to fix with the right tool.

Why a Dedicated Paw Trimmer

You can trim paw pads with scissors. We did it for years. But scissors between paw pads are a bad combination with a dog that does not hold still, and no Golden holds perfectly still during paw grooming.
